Nico Hulkenberg is one of the most experienced drivers in Formula 1 history – but front-running success is yet to greet him, leaving the German with an unwanted record.
At the Chinese Grand Prix, Nico Hulkenberg matched a record for the most Formula 1 races without a victory, tying Andrea de Cesaris with 208 grand prix starts and no wins. De Cesaris had held this record for over 30 years, and now Hulkenberg shares the top spot. If Hulkenberg does not win at the next race in Miami, he will surpass De Cesaris. Hulkenberg is also the only driver in the top 10 with no podium finishes in his career, a record he set in 2016. The next active driver without a podium finish is Yuki Tsunoda with 68 starts.
